It contains Maltitol (alcoholic sugar) with a calorific value about 70% lower than regular sugar and about half the glycaemic index of sucrose. Healthy fats, antioxidants and vitamins are represented by the raw materials used in its production, such as hazelnuts, cocoa and coconut oil.

The new hazelnut-chocolate spread from the Swedish manufacturer is designed for those who want to chase away their sweet tooth with a "sweet treat" and at the same time provide the body with beneficial nutrients rather than empty calories.
The sugar content comes from the ingredients used in the production. The maltitol that Proteinella contains is actually an alcoholic sugar with a caloric value about 70% lower than that of regular sugar. A significant plus of maltitol is that it has about half the glycemic index of sucrose (regular sugar), meaning it does not raise blood sugar levels like regular sugar. Proteinella is therefore suitable just for those who want to accept sweets, but also for diabetics. Moreover, it does not cause tooth decay and some of this alcoholic sugar is not absorbed into the blood.
Furthermore, it also contains fibre, which slows down the absorption of sugars and thus further slows down the rise in blood sugar. And what about fats? These are present in proportional amounts, mainly from hazelnuts and cocoa, which, in addition to the health-giving fats, also contain a natural content of antioxidants and vitamins. Moreover, it does not contain palm oil.
