The product you knew as Hydro Instant has been upgraded: it has a better formula, better consistency, and better taste, and it’s now called Hydro 77 DH12. And instead of just one flavor of Hydro Instant, Hydro 77 DH12 now offers four flavors—and they’re all delicious! Their pleasantly sweet taste is due, among other things, to the fact that the product contains a sweetener derived from the stevia plant, which is of natural origin. Hydro 77 DH12 contains instant—that is, easily soluble—enzymatically hydrolyzed whey concentrate with a DH12 degree of hydrolysis.

What does it mean for a protein to be hydrolyzed? Through the process of hydrolysis, protein bonds are broken down by proteases (enzymes that break down proteins) into long-chain amino acids. These amino acids are called polypeptides. This is an enzymatic hydrolysis process—pre-digestion. The result is protein that the body can easily utilize in the form of peptides, which include: oligopeptides (containing more than 12 amino acids), dipeptides (consisting of 2 amino acids), tripeptides (consisting of 3 amino acids), tetrapeptides (consisting of 4 amino acids), pentapeptides (consisting of 5 amino acids), etc. Biological Value (BV) index: 104–107.
Degree of hydrolysis—the most important factor determining the quality of hydrolyzed protein. Proteins can undergo hydrolysis to varying degrees, meaning they can have different degrees of hydrolysis. Unlike some other manufacturers, Extrifit not only lists the degree of hydrolysis on the product label but also includes it directly in the product name—DH12—which indicates a high degree of hydrolysis, giving this product a high content of short peptides. Proteins with a high degree of hydrolysis are typically characterized by a mild—but truly mild, not unpleasant—bitter taste, which you may also notice in Extrifit products; this is proof that it is a truly high-quality hydrolyzed product. Avoid so-called “hydrolysates” that do not specify the degree of hydrolysis. In such cases, it is usually no higher than degree 4, which has no significance in terms of protein absorption rate. It’s just more expensive.
Another sign of quality in protein products is the content of individual protein fractions, which Extrifit clearly states on the product label: Hydro 77 DH12 contains 36% beta-lactoglobulin, 15% alpha-lactalbumin, 2.5% immunoglobulin, bovine serum albumin 2.5%, whey protein fractions with a molecular weight of 500–1,000 Da 4%, and whey protein fractions with a molecular weight < 500 kDa 40%.
The amino acid content in 100 g of Hydro 77 DH12 ranges from 76,165 to 79,458 mg, depending on the flavor. Another advantage is its low carbohydrate and fat content. Consuming this high-quality protein source contributes to muscle mass growth and helps maintain muscle mass in situations where it is at risk of catabolism.

- We recommend dividing the daily dose (2–3 sachets) into 2–3 servings
- Thanks to its high content of rapidly absorbed short peptides, this protein is suitable for consumption after a workout, or even before a workout and in the morning on an empty stomach
