Peruvian Ginger: Fall/Winter

Recipe for Refreshing Homemade Iced Tea (2 g per 2 dcl) To make 1 liter of iced tea, you’ll need:
1. 10 g of dried ginger from Peru
2. 1 liter of water
3. a 1-liter glass pitcher
4. a second container for straining
5. a strainer
6. 20 ml lemon juice
7. 20 g honey / sugar
Instructions for making 1 L of refreshing ginger ICE TEA:
1. Place 10 g of dried ginger into a glass pitcher.
2. Pour hot water over it and let it steep for 5 minutes.
3. After 5 minutes, strain the tea into another container.
4. Let it cool in the refrigerator.
5. Once chilled, pour it back into the glass pitcher and sweeten with honey (or sugar)—about 20 g per liter—and lemon juice—about 20 ml per liter—or to taste.
6. Add ice and serve. Always serve chilled.
Recipe for ginger tea to warm you up (2 g per 2 dcl). To make 1 L of ginger tea, you’ll need:
1. 10 g of dried ginger from Peru
2. 1 l of water
3. A 1-liter glass pitcher
4. A second container for straining
5. A strainer
6. 20 g honey / sugar
