ALAVIS™ Triple Blend Extra Strong contains a combination of chondroprotective agents (glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate), MSM, and the branded collagens Collyss and Cartidyss.

ALAVIS™ Triple Blend Extra Strong is suitable for the regeneration of the musculoskeletal system, particularly for preventive use in foals and horses under working and competitive conditions.

Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate are natural components of articular cartilage and synovial fluid. Chondroitin sulfate has a remarkable ability to bind water in the tissue. It thus ensures the proper function of cartilage, as well as its strength, elasticity, and resilience. Both substances share a common mechanism of action, which consists of a chondroprotective (cartilage-protecting) effect. This effect includes the regeneration of joint cartilage and tissues, improved mobility, and thus has a significantly positive impact on the animal’s overall health.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM ) is a natural substance containing organically bound sulfur, which is involved in collagen synthesis, strengthens ligaments and tendons, and has a relaxing and regenerative effect on muscles. MSM not only helps reduce joint pain but, thanks to its antioxidant and detoxifying effects, also aids in the breakdown of damaged tissue. To relieve pain, it is also recommended to take MSM in post-traumatic and post-surgical conditions, where improved wound healing has additionally been observed. MSM has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, vasodilatory, and anti-edematous effects. It is also effective in relieving muscle pain, muscle cramps, and tendon pain.

COLLYSS™ —the highest-quality Type I collagen—is found in heavily stressed structures such as tendons and cartilaginous ligaments. It is resistant to tensile stress and is therefore very important for tendon strength and, consequently, for strengthening the musculoskeletal system. This collagen is also found in bones and skin. COLLYSS™ Type I collagen is a patented, purified collagen hydrolysate derived from the cartilage of marine fish.

CARTIDYSS™ —the highest-quality Type II collagen—maintains the shape of cartilage and prevents its deformation. Type II collagen is a component of hyaline and elastic cartilage and is resistant to pressure. CARTIDYSS™ is a purified collagen hydrolysate derived from stingray cartilage.
